FAQs

What’s behind the name “A Moment In Time Therapy”?

Truthfully, it was initially inspired by lyrics from “August” by Taylor Swift. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and I believe music can provide such a unique way to get in touch with our emotions.

This lyric also made me think of how much can change in a moment in time. One minute, we’re going about our daily lives as usual and then sometimes in an instant, everything changes. It feels like our world stops turning and everything we once knew about ourselves and the world comes to an end. We’re left standing there frozen and realizing we have to pick up the pieces from a life we would have never chosen.

We have to learn how to cope with the unimaginable. But we don’t have to do it alone. Therapy is also only a moment in time- just 50 minute windows for as long as we need, but so much healing can also happen in that moment of time. I can’t take the pain away, but my hope is you feel seen, supported, and free to let out any “messy” emotions that society tries to force down. I hope you learn that you always have someone in your corner and never have to navigate this new world on your own.

What is your session format?

I offer in-person sessions Monday-Wednesday at 200 Phillips Road Exton, PA. I also offer virtual sessions so we’re able to meet from the comfort of your own home. I am only able to meet with clients who reside in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida due to my licensure. Individual sessions are 53-minutes in length, unless otherwise requested. I am able to offer weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions. For more info on Florida telehealth licenses, please visit. https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/

What is your fee?

I accept Aetna, Lyra, and United Healthcare/Optum insurnace. If you do not have those plans or don’t want to use your insurance, my full fee is $175 for a 50-minute session.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Aetna and United Healthcare/Optum insurance, but with all other plans I am an out-of-network provider. I can provide a monthly “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out of network reimbursement.

I recommend prospective clients call the number on the back of their insurance card and ask the following questions:

  • Does your plan include “out-of-network” coverage for mental health

  • What is your annual deductible for mental health benefits?

  • What is your co-insurance? (What percentage does the plan cover?)

  • Is there a limit on the number of sessions your plan will cover per year?

Our online system takes payment via anything that acts like a credit/debit card so most HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

What modalities or treatment approaches do you use?

I pull from many different modalities and truly believe the most successful part of therapy is “clicking” with your therapist. I believe trust and safety can take time to build and want to make sure my clients know that treatment follows a pace that’s comfortable to them. That being said, here are the most common treatment approaches I use in session:

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Psychodynamic

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Parts Work

  • Somatic

  • Feminist Therapy

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

  • Trauma-Informed

  • Relational

  • Strength-Based

  • Harm-Reduction

  • Motivational Interviewing
